Simple recipe from black rice: Soak the rice overnight and then cook it in a pressure cooker and toss it in ghee, sugar and cardamom. This is called Chettinad dessert which is very popular in South East Asia.
Black rice has got 9.1 grams of protein and is also high in fiber – 4.7 grams per 100 grams.
Both black and red rice contains high amounts of nutrients compared to white rice, but both are costlier than brown and white rice.
